February’s Prescription: Self-Love & Devotion

February 1 opens the Self-Love prescription.

And this isn’t surface love.
This is devotion.

So many of us give our love to people who don’t deserve it.
So many of us don’t know how to receive real love when it shows up.

Some people will just enjoy the flowers because they love flowers. That’s beautiful too. Beauty alone heals.

But this month is deeper.

I want to say this clearly and out loud:

I love myself.
I love my mind.
I love my career.
I love being a mother.
I love my home.
I love my horses.
I love my clients.
I love my drive to work, to the horses, to my son’s school.

I am in a state of love.

When I look in the mirror, I say:
“I love you, Jenny.”

When I wake up, I say thank you.

And what I’ve realized is this:
I must be surrounded by people who love me too.

My publisher loves me. I feel supported in ways I never imagined. This level of self-love was not easy. I spent years performing, achieving, asking silently, “Do you love me now?”

Those days are over.

I don’t need to do anything to be loved.
I am lovable.
And if you are in my world, consider yourself lucky, because I feel lucky to be alive in my body every day.
