It’s here! One of my absolute favorite elements to design with—trailing jasmine—is officially in season, and I couldn’t be more excited!

You know how sometimes you’re eating a dish and suddenly stop mid-bite because there’s that one perfect flavor you can’t quite put your finger on, but it pulls the whole thing together? That’s what trailing jasmine is in floral design. It’s the spice, the magic, the aromatic whisper that makes people pause and ask, “What is that amazing scent?”

When I design, I don’t do basic—I like to take it up ten notches. And jasmine is one of those unexpected, beautiful touches that elevates everything it touches. Draping, delicate, and wildly romantic, it adds movement, emotion, and a signature fragrance that lingers like a soft memory in the air.

What I love most about using jasmine is how it transforms over time. When the design is first delivered, it’s tight and in bud—quiet, elegant, almost shy. But within a day or two, it opens up, revealing its soft white blooms and intoxicating scent. Suddenly, the whole house smells like heaven.
