Oh my gosh — about last night!

I’m still smiling from ear to ear because our Social Novel Friends Book Club meetup was absolutely magical. So many of you already know me as Jenny Barker – The Flower Doctor, and now many of you know I’m officially an author!

My very first book, Flower Energy, will be released on St. Patrick’s Day through one of the biggest publishing houses in the world — @hachettebooks and @runningpress — and it will be available everywhere books are sold: Target, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and more!

But last night wasn’t about just me — it was about community, connection, and creativity.
When I teamed up with Stephanie from The Fleur to start this little idea called Social Novel Friends (@socialnovelfriends | www.socialnovelfriends.com), I never imagined we’d sell out every single gathering. People drive from an hour away just to be part of this beautiful energy!

Every second Wednesday of the month, we gather from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM at my Magical Blooms Headquarters in Redondo Beach for two hours of laughter, good food, inspiring books, and yes — a little hands-on flower session led by yours truly.

Each meetup has a twist: we choose novels that all have one thing in common — flowers. Whether it’s romance, mystery, or a touch of magic, every story we read ties back to the blooms that connect us all.

It’s more than just a book club — it’s a space to make new friends, exchange energy, and recharge your soul through conversation, creativity, and flowers. If you’re in the South Bay and looking for something meaningful (and fun!) to do, mark your calendar for the second Wednesday of every month.
