The New Box Drop of Gratitude: A November Reflection

This November, as the season of gratitude unfolds, I’m taking a moment to pause — to truly see, feel, and celebrate how blessed I am. Every day, we deliver flowers, beauty, and intention nationwide, farm-fresh flowers. It’s more than a vehicle — it’s a moving symbol of gratitude, abundance, and the power of dreams taking shape in real life.

The Flower Prescription for November: Gratitude

Each month, I create a Flower Prescription™ that reflects the spiritual theme of the season — and November’s is Gratitude.
Here’s what I’m prescribing this month to help you stay in that vibration of thankfulness and peace:
 • Sunflowers — for confidence and light; a reminder to shine even on cloudy days.
 • Marigolds — for spiritual connection and prayer; they open your heart to higher love and divine guidance.
 • Olive Branches — for peace and authenticity; a sign to ground yourself in truth and harmony.
 • Silver Feather Grass — for release; a gentle reminder to let go and be grateful for endings that make space for new beginnings.
 • Blush Statice — for reflection; to remember your innocence and the beauty of joyful memories.

This month’s floral design celebrates thankfulness in bloom — because when you focus on what’s going right, more good things grow.

Why I’m Grateful

I’ve been feeling deeply reflective lately — maybe it’s the chill in the air, or maybe it’s simply time to say thank you for how far I’ve come.
 • I’m grateful to have been in my flower building since 2000 — a sacred creative home that’s seen so many dreams come alive.
 • Grateful for my home, its warmth, and the comfort it gives me after long, beautiful workdays.
 • Grateful for my son, Jack Golden Barker, who reminds me every day what love and laughter really mean.
 • Grateful for my health, my energy, and the ability to keep creating beauty through my hands and heart.
 • Grateful for simple things — a car that drives, a warm meal, a good night’s rest.
 • Grateful to have enough — to go out, to give, to live with joy and generosity.
 • Grateful for family, especially as Thanksgiving nears, and for the moments we gather around the table and share stories.
 • Grateful for positivity, for the light that keeps shining even when things feel heavy.
 • Grateful for my vision and my mind, both of which allow me to dream bigger every year.
 • Grateful for my farms, where fresh flowers grow with love and intention, and where every petal begins its journey into someone’s life.

The list goes on… and that’s the beauty of gratitude — it multiplies the moment you start naming it.

Living in the Grateful Mindset

Everything shifts when you start each day with Why am I grateful?.
You stop comparing. You stop fearing.
You begin to see — truly see — that life is happening for you, not to you.

So this month, as you sip your coffee, drive to work, or gather flowers around your table, ask yourself:
What am I grateful for right now?
And let that be your daily Flower Prescription.

Because gratitude is the most beautiful flower of all.
