Do you remember The Ricki Lake Show?
I loved that show back in the day. Ricki was vibrant, real, and always full of life. Over the years, I’ve come to admire her not just as a TV personality but as a truly incredible woman and soul.
Her story always sticks with me. Ricki and her husband lost everything when their Malibu home burned down. Everything. Can you imagine? One day you’re on top of the world, and the next you’re starting over from ashes. But what I’ve always loved about Ricki is how she keeps reinventing herself. She picked up her life, moved to New York, leaned into her community, and continued to inspire. That kind of resilience is rare, and I just adore her for it.
Today, she posted something that melted my heart. She shared photos of the peonies I sent her from our farm — glowing, grateful, and filled with joy. Later, she posted again, saying how much she loved them.
It’s these sweet moments, these quiet connections, that remind me why I do what I do.
Flowers really are magic. They bring peace. They bring joy. They heal. They connect us.
It’s not just about a pretty arrangement. It’s about what flowers move in people’s hearts. And today, Ricki reminded me that the simple gesture of sending flowers can touch someone’s soul most beautifully.
The movement of flowers is real. It’s alive. And it’s what I live for.
