The Language of Flowers: Inside My World as The Flower Doctor

There are moments in life when everything clicks—when what you’ve always felt quietly inside finally finds a voice in the world.

Being featured in LA Living Magazine for “The Language of Flowers” was one of those moments.

Because for me, flowers have never just been flowers.

They are a language.

Flowers Speak—If You Know How to Listen

For centuries, people have used flowers to communicate emotions that words couldn’t express. This practice, known as floriography, allowed entire conversations to happen through bouquets—love, grief, longing, forgiveness—all spoken silently through petals.

But what I’ve discovered over the past 30+ years is something deeper.

Flowers don’t just symbolize emotion.

They carry it.

Every stem has energy. Every bloom holds intention. Every arrangement becomes a message—whether the sender realizes it or not.

How I Became “The Flower Doctor”

I didn’t wake up one day and decide on the name.

It happened over time.

People would come into my shop not knowing what they needed—only how they felt. Sad. Overwhelmed. In love. Heartbroken. Hopeful.

And I would build something for them.

Not just based on color or design—but based on energy.

What I realized is this:
I wasn’t arranging flowers.

I was translating emotion.

That’s when everything shifted.

The Intuitive Side of Floral Design

There is a moment when I’m designing where the noise disappears.

I’m not thinking about trends. I’m not thinking about perfection.

I’m listening.

Listening to the flowers. Listening to the person. Listening to what wants to come through.

Because flowers hold stories.

They can:

* calm the nervous system
* shift the energy in a room
* help someone feel seen
* mark a life moment in a way nothing else can

This is why I say:

Flowers are medicine.

And I don’t say that lightly.

Real Life, Real Stories, Real Healing

Over the years, I’ve created arrangements for:

* someone saying “I’m sorry” when words failed
* someone celebrating a new baby
* someone grieving a loss
* someone rebuilding their life

And what amazes me every time is how the right flowers land exactly where they’re needed.

It’s not random.

It’s intuitive.

It’s energetic.

It’s human.

Why This Matters Now

We live in a world that moves fast.

Too fast.

And somewhere along the way, we stopped listening—to ourselves, to each other, to nature.

Flowers slow you down.

They invite you to feel.

They remind you that beauty and healing don’t have to be complicated.

They can sit right on your kitchen counter.

My Mission

Being featured in LA Living Magazine isn’t just a highlight.

It’s a reminder of the mission I’ve been building my entire life:

To help people reconnect—to themselves, to their emotions, and to each other—through flowers.

Because once you understand the language of flowers,
you start to understand yourself.

Experience It for Yourself

If you’ve ever felt something shift when you receive flowers…

If you’ve ever walked into a room and instantly felt different because of what was on the table…

That’s not an accident.

That’s the language.

And once you start hearing it…

You’ll never see flowers the same way again.
