Somebody pinch me.
Yesterday, Sunset Magazine gave me a shoutout on Instagram for my book, Flower Energy, and for sharing with the world who I am. I woke up, looked at my phone, and saw the words “Add collaboration with Sunset Magazine.” I just sat there feeling emotional. Complete honor shock.
When I was a little girl, magazines felt like such a luxury. You would see them in hair salons, hotel lobbies, and beautiful waiting rooms. Sometimes they arrived at your house, and you would stack them on your coffee table next to your favorite coffee table books. They felt special. They felt glamorous. They felt like little windows into a bigger, more beautiful world.

And Sunset Magazine was one of those magazines for me.
I remember flipping through pages filled with homes, gardens, flowers, travel, food, and California beauty. I was inspired by those pages long before Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and all the fast-moving technology we have today. Back then, you held inspiration in your hands. You turned the pages slowly. You dreamed.
So to wake up now, years later, and see Sunset Magazine sharing my book Flower Energy feels like a full-circle moment.
My book has been out for about two and a half months now, and this journey has been wild, beautiful, emotional, and deeply meaningful. I went on a book tour, signed almost 1,000 books, and thanks to Hachette, Flower Energy is available globally in many countries around the world.
And now, Sunset Magazine featured me in the June issue.
I can finally share it.
This is more than press to me. This is a little-girl dream blooming in real time. It is proof that when you keep showing up, keep creating, keep believing, and keep sharing your truth, life can surprise you in the most magical ways.
Flower Energy was created from my heart, my years of working with flowers, and my belief that flowers are more than pretty. They hold energy. They help us ground, heal, celebrate, manifest, and reconnect with ourselves.
To be seen by Sunset Magazine for this work means so much.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Flower Energy, bought the book, showed up to a signing, shared a post, sent a message, or cheered me on. This flower journey keeps blooming, and I am so grateful.
Somebody pinch me. Sunset Magazine saw the little girl who loved magazines, and now she is inside one.
With flower energy,
