Your Flowers Should Tell Your Story
Wedding flowers are so much more than centerpieces.
Your floral design can begin with your bridal bouquet and travel throughout the entire celebration with bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, ceremony flowers, aisle designs, arches, cocktail arrangements, bar flowers, escort-card displays, reception centerpieces, sweetheart tables, cake flowers and large statement installations.
Some couples want flowers everywhere.
Others want one unforgettable ceremony installation and very simple reception tables.
Neither is right or wrong. It is about designing the wedding that feels like you.
How Much Do Wedding Flowers Cost?
This is one of the first questions couples ask, and there isn’t one number that works for every wedding.
Your floral budget depends on the number of guests, number of tables, flower varieties, season, size of the bridal party, ceremony installations, centerpiece style, venue logistics, labor, delivery, setup and whether your flowers need to be moved or transformed between the ceremony and reception.
A smaller wedding might invest a few thousand dollars in flowers and design, while a larger full-service wedding can easily reach $10,000, $20,000 or considerably more, especially when large floral arches, hanging installations, premium flowers and extensive reception décor are involved.
This is why I prefer to start with your overall vision and comfortable budget rather than handing every bride the exact same package.
Sometimes we can create an enormous visual moment in one area and simplify another. Good floral design isn’t simply buying more flowers. It is knowing where the flowers will make the greatest impact.
When Should You Start Planning Your Wedding Flowers?
For most weddings, I recommend beginning the floral conversation approximately 6 to 12 months before the wedding.
If you are getting married during a particularly popular season or at a high-demand venue, beginning even earlier is wonderful.
But don’t panic if your wedding is closer.
We design intimate and last-minute weddings too. Depending on our availability, a beautiful wedding can sometimes come together within a few months or even weeks.
The important thing is to start the conversation.
