Giving Back with Blooms – A Flower Fundraiser for Town & Country Preschool

At Jenny Barker, The Flower Doctor, flowers are more than just beautiful—they’re a way to connect, heal, and give back. Today was extra special for me as I returned to a place that means the world to my family: Town & Country Preschool in Palos Verdes, where my son went to preschool years ago.

It’s a school that holds a piece of my heart.

To celebrate Easter weekend and support this amazing school, we donated dozens of spring bouquets for a heartwarming DIY flower fundraiser. Parents were invited to purchase the bouquets, take them home, and create their floral arrangements, making it a fun and meaningful activity to do with their children.

We offered a variety of farm-fresh spring bouquets and exotic spring bouquets, each thoughtfully crafted to bring joy and creativity into their homes. From Catalina roses and butterfly ranunculus to sweet peas, bunny tails, and eucalyptus, every bouquet was filled with seasonal beauty.

Why We Gave:

The proceeds from the fundraiser helped support extra resources and experiences for the kids at the school. It warms my heart to know that flowers can help fund special memories and tools for children to grow and thrive.

As a longtime local and business owner in the South Bay, I deeply believe in giving back to the community that has given me so much. Supporting our children’s schools through flowers is one of the most fulfilling things I get to do.

To everyone who supported the fundraiser—thank you! And to those who created bouquets with your little ones, don’t forget to tag us @MagicalBlooms and @JennyBarkerTheFlowerDoctor so we can see your beautiful designs.

Let’s keep creating joy, one bloom at a time.
