Yesterday was one of those days where life shows you how fast energy can shift — and how powerful gratitude really is.
I spent the whole day in my shop absolutely lit up.
High Tea parties, a team-building table, two clients who didn’t even want to leave, a private 1:1 lesson, friends stopping by — the kind of day that fills my heart so much I didn’t even want to go home. I stayed an extra hour and a half just soaking up the magic of Magical Blooms.

Before I left, I did what I always do: I turned off our cozy fireplace and poured a little water on it to make sure it was fully out. I left feeling grateful, grounded, and so proud of the energy flowing through my space.
Twenty-four minutes later… my phone starts exploding.
“Jenny, are you okay?”
“Is the flower shop on fire?”
“There are fire trucks everywhere.”
WHAT?!
I raced back and discovered that an Uber driver had driven by after I left and saw white smoke coming from the chimney. Doing his due diligence, he called 911. The Redondo Beach Fire Department arrived in full force — a whole crew — because they genuinely thought Magical Blooms was burning down.

They went on the roof.
They smelled smoke (of course — I had just put out the fireplace).
They couldn’t locate the source, so in full emergency mode, they broke in through BOTH side doors.
Yes… both.
If you drive by right now, you’ll see poster boards where my front glass door used to be.

And for the record:
There was NO fire.
No flames. No danger. No emergency.
Just a little leftover fireplace smoke drifting through the chimney.

Honestly, I am so grateful they didn’t cut a hole in the roof — they were literally about to because they thought the fire was inside the walls. And thank God they didn’t take hoses to my entire shop or everything would have been flooded and ruined.

So yes… the damage is real.
Yes… this is going to cost thousands.
And yes… I might have to pay out of pocket because there was no actual fire, so who knows how insurance will look at this.
But here is the part that gives me chills:
This month’s Flower Prescription is GRATITUDE.
And I can’t think of a clearer, louder sign from the universe telling me to practice it.

Gratitude that we are safe.
Gratitude that nothing burned.
Gratitude that the fire department was doing their best to protect the community.
Gratitude that my beautiful shop is still standing and still full of love and flowers.
Gratitude for all of YOU — who immediately reached out to check on me.
It’s wild… I literally filmed a video minutes before saying how incredible my day was, how I didn’t want to leave the shop, how grateful I felt. And then THIS happened.

Life is hilarious sometimes.
So let me say this clearly:
Magical Blooms is OPEN.
The shop did NOT burn down.
It was a complete false alarm — and I am okay.
We’re temporarily having everyone enter through the back door while the front gets repaired, but we are here, designing, blooming, and creating energy like always.3

If anything, the universe just handed me a real-life Gratitude Lesson to match November’s Flower Prescription. And I am listening.
Thank you for loving my shop, loving my flowers, loving my journey, and loving me.
With a full and grateful heart,
