A Very Special NYC Meeting: From Zoom Calls to Real Life Magic at Tavern on the Green

This week in New York City was more than just a quick trip—it was a heartwarming moment of connection and celebration. I finally got to meet, in person, two incredibly special women who have been instrumental in shaping one of the most meaningful chapters of my life: Eileen Cope, my literary agent, and Melissa Kleinman, my writing partner and creative sounding board.

For the last few years, we’ve built a bond over countless Zoom calls, shared ideas, writing breakthroughs, and big dreams. But nothing compares to the magic of finally sitting across the table from one another—laughing, talking, and dreaming together over lunch at the iconic Tavern on the Green in Central Park.

Eileen has believed in me from the beginning, helping bring my voice to life and championing me as an author. Melissa has been my extra eyes, hands, and heart throughout this journey—refining ideas, elevating my words, and helping me express what’s often hard to articulate alone. These women are not just part of the behind-the-scenes—they are part of my story.

It was especially meaningful to have Jack with me, my son and biggest inspiration. Watching him meet these two powerhouses—women who’ve supported my voice and helped me rise—was such a full-circle moment. This was a celebration of what happens when passion, persistence, and powerful partnerships come together.

I’m not allowed to say just yet what’s being revealed… but stay tuned for the teaser. Something beautiful is coming, and I’ll be releasing it any minute now—so keep following each day. It’s worth the wait.

If you’re an aspiring author:
Surround yourself with a team who gets you. Who hears your voice. Who believes in your magic. Writing is not a solo journey—it’s a symphony of creative minds, shared trust, and heart-led storytelling.

To my fellow creatives and dreamers
Don’t underestimate the power of real connection. Get out from behind the screens when you can. Hug your people. Celebrate your wins. Walk through Central Park. And make time to sit under twinkling lights and toast to how far you’ve come.

📍 Tavern on the Green was the perfect setting—elegant, iconic, and full of legacy. Just like this chapter.

With love always,
Jenny Barker, The Flower Doctor
