Never in a million years did I think I’d be able to say this…

Today, I designed flowers for the President of the United States.

When I got the call, I had no idea who the flowers were for. I was simply told to create elegant white and gold arrangements, and I happily got to work. As I was placing them on the tables, I looked up and realized who they were for.

What an incredible moment.

No matter where anyone stands politically, this post isn’t about politics. It’s about the honor of being trusted to do what I’ve dedicated the last 31 years of my life to. Out of all the talented florists in Los Angeles, I was given the opportunity to create floral designs for a presidential visit.

As a florist, that’s a career milestone I’ll never forget.

Life has a funny way of surprising you. One phone call can become a story you’ll tell forever.

Sometimes flowers really do take you to places you never imagined.
